How can I best support you?
From its roots in the Ancient Greek language, the word doula
has always had a beautiful meaning:“a woman who helps other women”.
Today, a doula does more than help.
From fertility, pregnancy, labor and childbirth, and even through the first steps into parenthood,
a doula will be there to support you and will serve as a valuable resource in your journey.
As your
BIRTH DOULA
Doulas help with the physical, emotional, and spiritual preparations during pregnancy to get ready for childbirth.
Prenatally, I can help you learn all about the physiology of birth, your options as a birthing person, and specific exercises and breathing techniques to prepare both your body and mind for childbirth.
During labor, I will guide you through pain management measures, as well as show you positions to help you feel more comfortable, and even assist in problem-solving should there be roadblocks in the progress of your labor.

As your birth doula, my services include:
-
Online childbirth class which you can take at your own pace
-
Prenatal consultation
-
On-call availability beginning on your 38th week
-
In-person or remote support during labor, depending on existing guidelines
-

-
Access to lending library of birth, postpartum and parenting books and resources
-

My support is not only for you and your child, but for your birth partner as well. They can lean on me, let me serve as a sounding board to ease their worries and anxieties, and help them help you as you welcome your child earthside.

Birth Doula Services and Covid-19 Pandemic
The pandemic has greatly affected life in all of its aspects. Everyone is experiencing additional challenges and anxiety in their daily life, and certainly more so for families who are expecting a child during these times.
Doulas are proven essential members of a birth team. When you choose to have me as your birth doula, I commit to support you the best way I can, as your choice of birth facility and care provider permit.
In-Person Birth Doula
In-Person Birth Doula services may be considered for home or facility-based births. As a guarantee, in the period that I am on-call for your birth, I will do everything in my capacity to limit my exposure to Covid-19, by strictly following established safety and health protocols in my day to day activities.

Remote Birth Doula
The Remote Birth Doula services were initially designed to serve families who are geographically out of range. However, due to the pandemic and its restrictions on movement, these services are now offered to all as a primary way of being your birth doula.
I have realigned my service to focus on preparing you well before the actual day of childbirth. On the actual day of labor, I will be with you via texts or phone and video calls.

As your
BREASTFEEDING COUNSELOR
If your goal is to breastfeed your child (Yay, Mommy!), then I am here for you 100% of the way. Yes, breastfeeding may be the most natural thing, but it still needs to be learned by both mom AND baby. And learning about breastfeeding before giving birth is a great way to start!
If you have already given birth and are having some difficulties (especially if it is your first time), I am also here for you. You can ask me all of your questions and bring up all of your worries and challenges about breastfeeding your child. Let’s troubleshoot them together. By the end of our session, you’ll be sure to have 1 to 3 steps in your pocket.
As a breastfeeding mom of two and a Certified Breastfeeding Peer Counselor, I can give you experience and education-based PRACTICAL support on how to start and succeed in your breastfeeding objectives.
In our session on breastfeeding, let us sift through the conventional methods and advice, and evaluate the practices best suited for you and your child. You may book your consultations as a one-off activity or a set of sessions at your convenience.
